Planetshakers Church   is an  evangelical   Christian   Pentecostal   megachurch  adult and youth movement in  Melbourne , Australia. It is also the name of the  church band  with a number of significant album releases. The band and the church has seen a lot of success having been nominated for multiple  Dove Awards . HISTORY Planetshakers Church (formerly Melbourne City Church) is a Pentecostal Christian church affiliated with  Australian Christian Churches , the  Assemblies of God  in Australia. Formed as an Australian Christian Conference and band in 1997. The conference originated from within Paradise Community Church now known as Influencers Church, in Adelaide South Australia. It is now based in Melbourne, Australia. The church started when the band and ministry moved to Melbourne in 2004. The church's senior pastor's are Russell and Sam Evans and has over 17,000  members.
